Becoming a Man – Afrikaans
The Afrikaans Becoming a Man lesson teaches boys and young teenagers about the physical and emotional changes they will go through to become a man.
The lesson discusses how their body will grow and change and how their feelings and behaviour may become different.
The lesson aims to teach the viewer what is normal and that the changes are all part of a natural process, so they shouldn’t be worried or embarrassed.
The lesson looks at the topics of circumcision, contraception and sex as well as the importance of good hygiene.
The lesson aims to teach about the changes that happen during puberty so the viewer is prepared and ready for them.
