Dangers of Alcohol

This Lesson:

• Teaches that, although drinking alcohol is a common social activity, drinking too much and too often can cause serious harm.
• Teaches the effect that too much alcohol has on the body as it can slowly damage the different organs and can cause death.
• Teaches that it is particularly dangerous for pregnant women to drink alcohol as it can have an effect on their unborn child’s health.
• Teaches the dangers of trying to drive, operate machinery and look after children under the influence of alcohol as it slows down reactions and can cause someone to put their own life or others lives in danger.
• Teaches that alcohol can change a person’s behaviour and cause violence or depression.
• Teaches to drink alcohol in moderation as it is expensive and harmful to own and others’ health.
